The Midlands Federation of Metal Detector Clubs has regular meetings throughout the year.
In addition to the regular meetings there are often special events such as the annual exhibition at the medieval St Mary's Guildhall in Coventry.
The exhibition is a part of the 'National Heritage Weekend' and we have been privileged to be invited back year after year following the numbers that our displays attracted to the first exhibition that was held in the historic Draper's Hall, Coventry. Visitors have been in the region of 2000 for the past two years.
We also have an annual quiz night with a prize trophy which is hotly contested. The main contenders in recent years have been the host club, Coventry Heritage Detector Society, and Wyre Valley.
The trophy is currently held by the now defunct Coventry Heritage Detector Society. Special guest speakers are also invited to deliver talks at our meetings.
